If you are looking for some kid-friendly fun and games, here are a few free resources and downloadables appropriate for Earth Week - and every day! (Banner by Clipart.Email)
  • A downloadable full color version of the Earth Day 50 logo would look great hanging in your window or on your car's dashboard.
  • So would a version you color yourself.
  • How about a printable Earth Day Word Search? Get it and other activities including a seven-page activities book at RealLifeatHome.com.
  • Sing along with Pittsburgh EarthDay's anthem, "(Lay Down) Candles in the Rain" written by folk artist Melanie after her appearance at Woodstock in 1969. This new treatment is performed by an all-star cast of Pittsburgh musicians. (Get the lyrics here.)
  • Ready for story time? Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation staff invites you to a daily children's story hour as we read some of our favorite kids' books live on our Facebook page! Tune in each day at 3:00 PM:
    • Monday: PPFF President Marci Mowery with "The Reason for a Flower" by Ruth Heller
    • Tuesday: PPFF Outreach Coordinator Sarah Scholl reads "Growing Wild" by Constance Perenyi
    • Wednesday: Marci's back with "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss
    • Thursday: PPFF Bookkeeper Bernadette Howard reads "Verdi" by Janell Cannon
    • Friday: PPFF Membership Coordinator Pam Metzger shares "Stellaluna" also by Janell Cannon
